Age := Age+1;
Time_Til_Death := Time_Til_Death-1;
Pondering – Yes, yes, writing 'Age := Age+1;' instead of 'Age++' does date me, what can I say… What would really date me would be 'LDA #$24 ADC#$01'. (A9 24 69 01)

so, not much change there, then! cheer up, Happy B.
Yikes l did wonder what you were on about but not read the comments till now.Hope it was a good one despite the bird flued measles
? WTF ?Sorry, me thick. Is this WOW related, or obscure paramedic training? Or are you planning a new career as a cryptic crossword compiler?
Happy birthday!!
IF Choke_On_Birthday_Cake := 1 THEN Time_Til_Death := 0(so, don't)
happy birthday!Don't worry, they're still teaching that in universities now (in fact, I find it makes clearer code…)
Having reached >40 I now write that as Time_Til_Death := Time_Til_Death+1; or 'Age := Age-1; and, not being into computers, reminds me of the only related joke I know which is…there are only 10 sorts of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't….Happy Brithday
Oh! Joyeux Anniversaire
When you reach 33, you can write your age as 0x21, as my girlfriend pointed out two years ago last week.
No! := is assignment. You just killed Reynolds!You mean:
IF Choke_On_Birthday_Cake = 1 THEN Time_Til_Death := 0
Or
If (Choke_On_Birthday_Cake ==1) Time_Til_Death = 0;
Or
Choke_On_Birthday_Cake ifTrue: [ Time_Til_Death := 0 ].
I had a problem with that, going on a pub crawl with a friend who's 33 on the same day that I was 23. So, since she was 0x21 again, I had to be 0x17.Which caused a problem in a couple of the pubs. Fortunately I didn't look that young. 🙂
Happy Birthday then. Maybe you should be a computer coder?
I'm not only old enough to recognise 6502 code, I'm also nerdy enough to spot (and point out) the mistake!LDA #$24
CLC
ADC#$01'
Yay fellow 6502 geeks! :)I didn't spot the error (clearing the carry so that the previous operations did not affect the result of the desired calculation) … which is probably why my code never worked 😉 I owned a 6502 based UK101 which had a magical 4k of RAM and predated the the BBC computers by about 3 years. Ahh them were the days!
Happy Birthday Tom
Are you sure that carry's clear?CLC first, please!
{Happy Birthday}
I haven't the faintest idea what you are talking about, but I go for the “it's your birthday” option, and that's all I need. So, happy birthday, hope you have a great day! 🙂
That whole post went past me in a blur….I'm ill, thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it dammit.Happy birthday 😀
eh, Happy Birthday (I think!)
Happy Birthday!!
hey this is going to sound so random but i was looking into a job in the ambulance control room you know where they receive calls and dispatch ambulances etc. Just wondering what the minimum age would be to work there?
I'm honestly not sure there even is a minimum age to work in EOC (formerly known as Central Ambulance Control). The youngest newbies I've known to have joined up have been 19. For operational positions, I believe you need to have held a driving licence for 1 or 2 years depending on the position; so that would mean you'd need to be a minimum of either 18 or 19 (and even that's assuming you passed your driving test on your 17th birthday!). Just looking at your screen-name, I take it you don't plan to be in the control room for too long?
CAKE!
?????? Happy birthday Tom
I'll give you a boomerang as a prezzie and wish you many happy returns.
no i obv want to be a paramedic but was that job would be ok as a part time or as a fall bak if all exams dont go too well. Thanxs for all your help x x
LOL! Geek :)Happy Birthday!
(to be sung loudly and out of tune!)Happy Birthday toooooooo youuuuuuuu
Happy Birthday tooooooo youuuuuuuuu
Happy Birthday dear Tom
Happy Birthday tooooo youuuuuuuuuuu

Is that really cake, or just a lie?
