My ‘one word’ review of ‘Lost’ which starts today on Channel 4 at 8:30pm (For those in the UK anyway).
Unmissable
I’ve seen all of the first series (thank you Bittorrent1), and it really is compulsive viewing.
Do people in offices still talk about TV around the water fountain? If so, then I suspect that this could be a big topic of conversation.

1. So why exactly is my computer full of malware? Could it be some of the websites I visit?
Well, I am surprised my fellow geeks haven't swamped you re the malware problem. Need to know two things, firstly whats your operating system and what browser aew you using. I am tech support for an office full of very stupid people and I have kept their systems safe from malware, so I should be able to help you.
Pfft, I watched a breif 10 minutes of it, only to discover it to be absolute tripe!Be serious.

We're now in reruns of the first season. Try this site (http://lostlinks.net/) for a condensation of all the information available on the internet. I'm a big fan, but a good part of the enjoyment is the discussions about the episodes and these are two of the best boards for that:http://p073.ezboard.com/blosttheunofficalforumfortheabcseries

I am also fortunate to have seen the whole of the first season of 'Lost' and I quite agree it is unmissable. I was hooked from beginning to end. I did find, however that a couple of the episodes were rather 'slow' but if you stick with it you are in for a rare treat on British television.
I have to admit, the TV trailer's really put me and the wife off this. I havent been able to get into any of the US series recently….I blame it on 'Sex In The City'.
To minimize malware and browser hijackers, I have had success installing and keeping updated (very important, since malware is constantly evolving and anti-malware programs have to play catch up) the following cleansers:Ad-Aware
Spybot Search and Destroy
HijackThis!
CWShredder
Microsoft Anti-Spyware
These particular programs are all free and reputable, unlike a number of relatively expensive malware “removers” that are actually malware installers. For better info, including user reviews and download links, vist the spyware information section at http://www.download.com. Good luck.
Get Firefox as well. And we know you got all that malware from too many porno sites. Bwha.Spike
lost is good. i like the flash backs, give them a sence of history.the radio must not have had too much wrong. as sayid fixed it without any tools, or IC logic tester.

In Ireland they have been running this already, so I think they are a season ahead? dunno as I did not watch it… (I know sad) but as a sci-fi geek, im trying to catch up on some stargate atlantis that I er… “found”
I wasn't overly impressed with 'Lost'. Too melodramatic, and the characters did seem a little formulaic, predicatable and not too deep (although i only saw the first episode).Oh and the ad breaks seemed to be every 5 minutes. I know it started life in America, but surely they don't have to stick to the ridiculously short time between ads that they use.

It gets better, much better. The pilot was very formulaic, but the characters really evolve and reveal new facets of themselves as the show goes on.CBRetriever
Do people still watch TV? I can't stop surfing long enough to get round to it.
